Thanksgiving is happier with tollhouse pie

Tollhouse Pie

1 9” unbaked pie crust
2 eggs
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 (2 sticks) cup butter, melted and cooled to room temp (I use a few tablespoons less than a cup)
6 oz. chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts (optional but nuts make everything immeasurably better)

Preheat oven to 325.
In large bowl, beat eggs until foamy.
Add flours, both sugars, and beat until well blended.
Stir in chips and nuts. (I am browbeating you into including the nuts)
Pour in pie shell.
Bake at 325 for app. 1 hour.

Cool and serve with ice cream or whipped cream or naked. (That is one of the only times I will ever type the word “naked”)
